Abstracts:

The Technological revolution of the nineties supposes the use of new information technologies in education. The submitted project pursues the purpose of creation of organizational, information and technical base for active use of means of multimedia and the Internet / intranet technologies in the field of museum pedagogics. In view of specificity of the State Hermitage the basic directions of activity of the Distant Learning Center "HERMITAGE" (DLC "Hermitage") become: the certificated preparation of guides and guides-interpretors; improvement of professional skills of employees of museums, methodologists and other experts with the help of the Internet and the Internet technologies; educational activity of the museum and support of the international programs. The project will be realized with the help of learning management system (LMS) " eLearning 3000 v 2.0", developed by HyperMethod Company . This system allows to achieve the following primary goals. Firstly, fast and effective creation, support and using of the modern distant courses including the diverse multimedia information being an information basis for distant learning. Secondly, creation of the virtual Learning Center which provides administrative and methodical support of distant learning process. Such structure of DLC " HERMITAGE " will allow to improve internal forms of training, by means of granting machine time in a class of personal computers for independent work from multimedia training courses and performance of testing tasks, and also to organize the LMS as analogue of correspondence education. In the State Hermitage all preconditions for organizational and methodical support of distant learning are at the moment generated. The Hermitage has a high intellectual potential and the big pedagogical experience for substantial filling multimedia textbooks and distant learning courses on various directions of museum activity. There is a well equipped educational computer class in the Youth center of a museum exists which will provide program and technical support of developers of educational multimedia works. Besides the developing market of consumers of museum multimedia production and the services given by LMS today is generated. In turn, the program and technological complex " eLearning 3000 v 2.0", developed by HyperMethod Company provides creation of the virtual educational center. In the present report stage-by-stage process of creation of the Distant Learning Center is considered, namely, development of a hardware and program nucleus of the center, introduction of modern technologies of distant learning, preparation of experts of a required structure, creation on a scheduled basis of multimedia distant learning rates, etc.
