Abstracts: The priority directions of Multimedia studio "Mediaterra" of Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav-the-Wise include history, culture, education. The important works of this profile are CD-ROMs "His Majesty Lord Novgorod the Great ", "Russian musical antiquities ", "My voice shalt thou hear...", " Living Slavic History", WWW-site "Ancient Russian musical instruments".
To popularise the riches of Russian spiritual musical heritage and to facilitate the access to theoretical and practical study of this huge layer of musical culture both for experts and all interested multimedia studios, with the support of "Open Society" Institute, the project of creation of information WWW-resource “History and theory of Russian spiritual music: multimedia Internet studying aid” is carried out with application of the most advanced network interactive technologies focused at application of distance learning for students of musical educational institutions and all those wishing to replenish their knowledge in the area of Russian and world musical culture.
For this work, there existed significant theoretical and practical reserve: the CD-ROM “Hear the voice of mine…” – a unique work at the Russian multimedia market, devoted to the history of development of orthodox choral singing, Java version of CD-ROM “ His Majesty Lord Novgorod-the-Great” as the software basis of the project, the highly professional choir of Novgorod society of Christian culture and arts named after Anthony the Roman, which participated in creation of CD-ROM " My voice shalt thou hear...".
Amendments have been made, which allow to use the information material as interactive studying aid; for the chosen distance learning methodology, the program modules have been modified, the prepared components have been edited and assembled in one product and placed on the Internet.
