Abstracts:

The report covers the issues of use of the specialized industrial technology of transformation of documents into electronic formats, as used in the leading museums of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and of other Russian cities. It reviews the problem of formation of museum informational resources within undertime and with high quality, as well as the problem of assurance of museum documents undamaged state.

It proceeds with feasible forms of work with museum documents in electronic formats, and presents the phased scheme of document procession: examination of an informational resource, scanning, indexation and formation of the out directory array.

The report stresses the factors facilitating assessment of an informational resource quality and of the applied technologies efficiency.

All the theses of the paper are illustrated by the actual projects of the Electronic Archive Corporation.
