With the intensive development of the Internet in the modern world, there is a necessity of creation of historico-cultural resources, which keep the textual and graphic information on ancient monuments, pieces of arts, scientific researches in this field.
Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is an association of a museum and monastery in use. The task of the site " Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra " is a maintenance of centuries-old spiritual traditions of the Lavra, illumination of a 950-centuries history of the monastery, life of Kyiv-Pechersk reserve today and information on major museum, cultural and religious events in Lavra and behind its limits.
Nowdays on the site such sections there are such chapters: a chronological history of the Lavra; the dictionary; the museums, which are located in the reserve territory, their expositional, exhibitional, cultural - educational activity, new publications etc.
The site „ Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra ", created by the researchers of a department on computer science of the reserve in 1996 for today is the most volumetric behind the amount of the submitted materials in Ukraine.
